THURSDAY NIGHT FOOD & WINE PAIRINGS

Every Thursday night the Gabriel Archer Tavern at The Williamsburg Winery will be creating a relaxed evening of good food and good wine. Our Senior Wine Consultant and Chef will create a special menu based on fresh seasonal foods that pair well with especially selected Williamsburg Wines.

Whether you want to learn more about food and wine pairings, sample new releases, compare vintages or just go out for a great evening; your Thursday night at the Gabriel Archer Tavern will be a memorable and thoroughly enjoyable event.

June 12:  2004 Gabriel Archer Reserve
New Release Dinner

$75.00 per person
1st:  Radicchio & smoked salmon mousse with fresh figs.  (Samuel Argall Dry Riesling)
2nd:  Smoked duck breast and pate over a
bed of baby greens with a mild fruit coulis.

3rd:   Rosemary and mint encrusted lamb chops with white truffle laced Yukon gold smashed potatoes.

4th:  Stilton Cheesecake with dried fruits

3rd:  Tangy herb barbequed Salmon filet with grilled asparagus
4th:  Grilled Peaches with vanilla scented mascarpone cheese

June 26:  Tuscan Food and Wine Dinner
$50.00 per person
1st:  Appetizer, Crab cocktail
2nd:  Fine Cheese course
3rd:  Pasta Course, Penne alla Puttane d’Elba
4th: Meat Course, Pesto crusted Sirloin with grape tomato confit
5th: Dessert, Roasted pears with Chestnut Honey and Pecorino Toscano

July 3:  Al Fresco Food and Wine Dinner
Red, White, and Bubbly
$60.00 per person
1st: Grilled bell peppers with buffalo mozzarella and basil caper vinaigrette 
2nd:  Assortment of fine cheese
3rd:  Lemon-garlic herb chicken with grilled prosciutto wrapped asparagus and pesto three bean salad.
4th:  Homestyle strawberry shortcake

July 10:  French Mediterranean
$50.00 per person
   1st:  Escargot with herb, garlic and white wine butter
2nd:  Assortment of fine cheese
3rd:  Swordfish with rustic putanesca sauce of fresh roma tomatoes, kalamata olives, and capers served over linguine 
4th:  Pear Tart with orange crème fraiche

July 17:  Reserve Tasting and Dinner 
$75.00 per person
1st:  Roasted garlic crostini with mixed Mediterranean olives and oven roasted tomatoes
2nd:  House salad of mixed greens, dried cranberries, and crushed pecans tossed with raspberry balsamic vinaigrette
3rd:  Entrees served with Yukon gold smashed potatoes and fresh wilted spinach
-Cracked pepper seared New York Strip with red wine balsamic reduction
4th:  Pear Tart with raspberry Chantilly quenelle

July 24:  Al Fresco Food and Wine Dinner
$60.00 per person
1st:  Fresh Figs with Rosemary Goat Cheese
2nd: Panzanella Salad
3rd:  Tangy herb barbequed Salmon filet with grilled asparagus
4th:  Lemon Meringue Pie

Seating is at 6:30pm

Limited seating available.

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Vegetarian substitutions are available.

The Gabriel Archer Tavern will remain open to the public for the regular Dinner Menu.
